As we approach the High Holy Day Season once more, and the endeavor of Teshuvah (return/repentance), the embrace of positive psychology is a ready avenue toward setting new goals of personal conduct and interpersonal relationships. While this discipline is relatively modern, its seeds were planted hundreds of years ago within the classical teachings of Rabbi Moses Maimonides. In this mini-course, we will define positive psychology and survey the Rambam’s writings to forge new connections between science and Jewish tradition. Cost is $50 per household, with a discounted price of $40 for those who have taken previous “Spirit of Wellness” courses or the Adult Talmud Class.
