Our time together will be spent reflecting on what it means to be a person of faith today, and how a composite of six attributes (Embracing Hope, Love of Fellow Jews, Love of all Human Beings, Preserving the Earth, Taking heed of the vulnerable and acting on their behalf, and A Healthy Balance of Remembering and Safeguarding the Sabbath) might serve as our anthem. We shall look at classical and contemporary sources to gain an understanding of each component. Articles will be shared intermittently, as will also recommended selections from Buber's The Prophetic Faith, Neil Gillman's Sacred Fragments, and Barnabus Piper’s Help My Unbelief: Why Doubt is Not the Enemy of Faith. Cost is $75 per household, with a discounted price of $60 for those who have taken previous “Spirit of Wellness” courses or the Adult Talmud Class. The Zoom link will be shared with registrants a few days ahead of the first session.
